Penn's Landing Engagement Session: John & Amanda
John and Amanda live in Philadelphia, are getting married in Philadelphia, so it only seemed fit, to have their engagement session in Philadelphia. I love shooting in Philly (yes, we're on a nickname basis now) because there is so much variety! We only walked a few blocks and I couldn't help but stop every couple of yards because there was something neat to shoot near. We started by Penn's Landing, found a couple of adorable side streets, in which we found an in-ground pool in the smallest little backyard, but no pool-hopping for us. We also visited a little bit of South Street and Society Hill. I cannot wait for John and Amanda's October wedding, so we can shoot in Philly again- but next time, they'll be married!

Congress Hall Cape May Wedding Photographer: Vinny & Cassie
When I photographed Cassie and Vinny's engagement session in Philadelphia this past winter- I instantly fell for them. They are a "cool" couple- how "uncool" does this make me sound? Let me explain... they know every worthy place to visit in Philly. Their engagement session was anything but typical. They planned out three very specific locations- Philadelphia's Magic Gardens (maybe one of the coolest mosaic art galleries EVER), Percy Street Bar (one of the best BBQ restaurants), and Tattooed Mom (a bar with graffiti everywhere)- can you say, a photographer's dream? Not only are they total foodies, they also love to travel together and have been all over the globe. See- you totally want to be friends with them now. Did I mention their dance moves?? Well, you'll just have to see for yourself. Besides all of the aforementioned facts that make them awesome- they have a love for each other that is just adorable to see in person. During their First Look- I was teary eyed behind my camera. Have I mentioned I love First Looks? Enough already- take a look at their colorful wedding at one of the coolest venues I've had the privilege to shoot- Congress Hall in Cape May.
Moorestown Engagement: Devin & Nicole
Four days before Christmas I met up with Devin and Nicole for their engagement session. The previous weekend, it was freezing and the roads were covered with ice... but this particular Saturday in December was 70 degrees. It was a welcome surprise. Devin and Nicole are two, fun-loving sports fans and you can't help but smile when you're around them. I found myself smiling as I edited their photographs recounting their jokes and the expressions we captured. We started at Devin's childhood home, then ventured to a field in Moorestown that I've been eying up for quite some time. I can't wait for their November wedding!
Penn's Landing Engagement: Janelle & Shaun
On December 15th, a cold and icy morning, I met Janelle and Shaun at Penn's Landing in Philadelphia. One year ago, Janelle and Shaun came to Penn's Landing to go ice skating and just have fun… or so Janelle thought. While strolling along the water, Shaun proposed to Janelle, and the rest is history! I love that we were able to go there for their engagement session, and clearly, spending the day at Penn's Landing will become a tradition they do every December 15th!
South Street Engagement: Cassie + Vinny
Cassie and Vinny know all the great spots in Philly. Their history is spread up and down South Street in Philadelphia. We started off at Philadelphia's Magic Gardens in the midst of colorful mosaics. Next, we headed to their favorite BBQ Bar- Percy Street Bar. Did I mention this was the most charming little bar I've ever seen? Vinny, a total foodie, told me about the amazing cuisine over a glass of Black Maple Hills bourbon. Lastly, we walked a few more blocks to the bar, Tattooed Mom. Cassie and Vinny had one of their first dates upstairs, surrounded by graffiti, while sitting in a bumper car. Cassie, not only are you stunning, but you'd make a fabulous Philly tour guide! I've been to South Street a million times, but next time I go, I'll be thinking of these two lovebirds!
