Batsto Village, Hammonton, NJ Engagement: John and Kelly
John and Kelly met while they were both working at Wegmans- and just like my favorite store, their love is wholesome, exciting, and keeps you coming back for more! ...Okay, so I'm seriously in love with Wegmans, but we'll save that excitement for another day. We headed to Batsto Village in Hammonton, New Jersey for John and Kelly's engagement session. Not only was the weather perfect, but there also happened to be a bagpipe player (not pictured) just about the entire time. We joked that John hired him just for their engagement session. John and Kelly are just as adorable as they photograph and I cannot wait until their wedding day next October!
Smithville Mansion, Mount Holly, New Jersey Engagement: Jeff and Anna
It was late-April when I met Anna and Jeff at Smithville Mansion in Mount Holly for their engagement session. I love Spring. It’s a time of renewal and new life. There were gorgeous blooms everywhere- we even found the most beautiful purple flowers for a portrait of Anna’s engagement ring. Anna and Jeff are so genuinely fun to be around. They were super laidback even while they were in the process of moving and planning their wedding. I can’t wait to share their wedding with you!
Race Street Pier, Philadelphia Engagement: Paul and Christy
I met up with Christy and Paul at Race Street Pier in Philadelphia for their engagement session. On a windy day, we strolled just below the Ben Franklin Bridge to capture some gorgeous images for their Save the Dates and to get them comfortable in front of my camera. The benefit of it being a windy day is that we had the pier practically to ourselves. I love the bright blue just under the bridge- made for gorgeous photographs!
Cooper River Engagement Photographer: Alex and Ali
On a warm August night, I met Alex and Ali at Cooper River Park in Collingswood for engagement photographs. Ali was stunning in a gorgeous white dress, fit for a bride, and I loved Alex's style, rocking a vest. Ali and Alex are so easy going and super fun to be around- the kind of people you could see yourself hanging out for hours and it just seems like mere minutes have past. I will forever remember the gorgeous willow tree with the sun light streaming through it, making the most amazing backdrop for Ali and Alex's engagement session. We started on one side of the river, and ended on the other, with a breaktaking sunset.
Asbury Park Engagement Session: Eric and Becky
Color. Art. Music. Asbury Park.
Who doesn't love it there? Becky and Eric are artistic, colorful, expressive- if they were going to be a place, they would be Asbury Park. I was ecstatic for this engagement session, because I've known Becky for so many years and I knew she would be down for anything. Cue the rain. The forecast called for a 20% chance of rain- if you've been reading my blog posts, you might notice a common theme- how annoying I find the forecast :) As I drove to Asbury Park, I convinced myself the rain I was driving through must have just been passing showers, but they didn't end. As we met in the Convention Center through raindrops, we decided we would just shoot and make it work (after all, that's what would happen on a wedding day!) It's not the easiest shoot, having to hold your bag the entire time, putting your camera away after every couple of shots, but it makes every shot much more intentional. I couldn't be more happy that we decided to shoot in the rain. It made a unique session even more memorable. Thank you so much to Becky, Eric, and the lovely Mackenzie for braving the weather!
