New Jersey Farm Wedding: Miranda and Mike

Miranda and Mike were high school sweethearts, and when Mike popped the question, they were both ready for a giant party to celebrate their growing relationship! In early October, they celebrated at DelVicario's Turkey Trac Farms (the Bride's family farm), with it's debut celebration and boy, was it lovely. Complete with antiques from Royal Port Antiques, every square inch of the Barn had been thought of in great detail. Burlap, lace, cowgirl boats- are you getting the picture? It was absolutely heaven to shoot. The bride and groom have strong family ties, so it was completely appropriate that their wedding date was just one day after the bride's parents' anniversary and on the groom's grandparents' anniversary as well. Despite the rain that didn't let up, their day was absolutely perfect in every way. I'm so happy for Miranda and Mike as they change their status from "high school sweethearts" to "husband and wife."

When I first met Kelsey and Rob, I was so excited- they were down-to-Earth and fun to be around and just adorable together. They were also getting married in the Winter! Winter weddings are far less common than a Fall or Summer wedding, so I was ecstatic... and lucky for us, there was a dusting of snow on their December wedding day. We started the day in the gorgeous bridal suite at the Stockton Seaview Hotel and Golf Club for Kelsey's getting ready. Her girls, dressed in cranberry gowns, helped her get ready for her best day ever. Rob and the groomsmen, dressed in gray suits and matching holiday socks (so fun!). Kelsey and Rob met just outside of their reception area for their First Look, followed by their bridal party and family photos just before the sunset. Shortly after, their ceremony took place in the Oval Room, followed by dinner and dancing. I'll always remember the family ties at Kelsey and Rob's wedding. Their entire family was out on the dance floor, arm-in-arm, smiles, hugs, kisses, it was really magical to witness. Congratulations, Rob and Kelsey!
The Seaview Hotel was decked out for Christmas with gorgeous decor everywhere- we needed to take full advantage!

The lighting was absolutely stunning in the bridal suite at the Stockton Seaview Hotel- I could have shot there all day long.

I love their winter themed wedding, and the Christmas tree in the reception room made for the most gorgeous bokeh.
I love this wood-carved cake complete with a "love you more" cake topper.
Rob and Kelsey made their grand entrance, kissing under the mistletoe. Adorable!
They shared their first dance and then the bridal party attacked them with a group hug.

Auletto Caterers Wedding, Almonesson, NJ: Bill and Carla
From the time I photographed their engagement session, I knew their wedding was going to be particularly fun! Bill and Carla both have careers in music, so singing and dancing through the day, comes naturally. While Carla stepped into her wedding gown, all the girls started belting "Going to the Chapel," it was such a happy moment! At Auletto Caterer's, where the ceremony and reception took place, Bill and Carla started their day with a heartfelt First Look. After that we took care of bridal party portraits and family formals. During an outdoor ceremony, Carla's older brother officiated the ceremony making it extra special. The reception was filled with endless dance moves and a surprise serenade of Ingrid Michaelson's "Take Me the Way I Am." I adore that song! Here's to a lifetime of happiness, Mr. and Mrs. Graff!

Bill and Carla were so magically in love. Here's one of my favorites from their bride and groom formal photos at Auletto Caterers.
Carla and Bill are both musically gifted. So besides Carla singing all morning while she was getting ready (loved it) there was a piano in their home- perfect for a ring shot!
While Carla stepping into her gown- everyone started singing "Going to the Chapel." It was such an amazing moment to be a part of!
Carla and Bill decided on a First Look before the ceremony so they could get their initial butterflies out.
Carla's brother officiated the ceremony, so when he offered support while Carla read her vows, I think we all let out an extra cry.

Carla surprised Bill with a birthday cakeat the end of the reception.
We headed down to the wine cellar at Auletto Caterer's for one more photo of the newlyweds!

Rose Bank Winery Wedding, Newtown, PA: Roy and Erin
As a photographer, I'm always looking for raw emotion and waiting to capture it. Sometimes these moments, seconds really, happen so quickly, and other times you can predict the emotions that are about to happen. On Erin and Roy's wedding day, there was PLENTY of emotion to go around. It makes my heart so happy to see a bride and a groom that are so open with their emotions. The way Roy looked at Erin throughout the day was so sweet. You could tell that he felt like the luckiest man alive marrying Erin. During the ceremony there were so many happy tears from so many. The ceremony and reception took place at Rose Bank Winery in Newtown, PA and it was stunning from start to finish. Congrats to Erin and Roy on the start of a new and beautiful chapter!

I'll never forget how Roy slide across the floor during the song "Hot for Teacher." Love it!

Normandy Farm Wedding, Blue Bell, PA: David and Marisa
In late May, we set out for Normandy Farm in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania for Marisa and David's wedding. I was so in love with Marisa's handmade paper floral bouquet with yellow, green, and coral flowers that she made herself! Other special details included her wedding invitation suite designed by one of her bridesmaids who is a graphic designer, a gorgeous cathedral veil (that was a thrift store find!), and her yellow Mary Janes. Marisa and David met just outside of the reception area at Normandy Farm for their First Look. I love First Looks for sooooo many reasons, but the best part is watching how emotional the bride and groom are on their wedding day. Watching Marisa's face as she saw David for the first time that day was so special. I remember asking her while she was getting ready, "What are you looking forward most to today?" and she answered, "I just want to get married." Marisa and David light up every time they see each other and they have such an amazing connection that was so evident as I spent the day with them. Their ceremony was an outdoor ceremony in front of Normandy Farm's signature white and red barn, complete with a huge gust of wind that carried Marisa's veil straight up in the air, making everyone laugh. Their reception space at Normandy Farm was filled with gorgeous twinkle lights and more gorgeous floral accents throughout. There was a soft, romantic vibe as Marisa and David had their first dance as a married couple. They danced the night away before we could sneak them away for one more shot of them in their bridal suite (see the last photo!).

The Washington Room at Normandy Farm is so pretty and it just happened to match Marisa's colors.

During the ceremony, everyone had teary eyes, until the wind came and took Marisa's veil straight into the air. All of our tears turned to a little giggle!

Grounds for Sculpture Wedding Session, Hamilton, NJ: Joe and Jamie
Jamie and Joe's first professional wedding photograph includes the Easter Bunny... seriously (how cool!). They were married late March surrounded by close family at the Voorhees Town Center in a private ceremony. Immediately after, they got in line to take a photograph with the Easter Bunny, wedding dress and all. Jamie and Joe decided that they would like to celebrate their marriage with a wedding session at Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, New Jersey. If you've never been there, I would highly recommend a day trip- it's so completely peaceful and a great mixture of art and nature. We had such an amazing time in our own private golf cart complete with a tour guide! Jamie and Joe are such a fun, down-to-Earth couple and crazy about each other. A couple of weeks after our session, it was so much fun sitting with them in-person to reveal their wedding photographs. It was so sweet to hear Joe compliment Jamie on how beautiful she is, and to hear her compliment how great his hair... I mean, how great HE looked too! Congrats Jamie and Joe!
The bamboo at Grounds for Sculpture makes the perfect backdrop for wedding photos.
One "must-have" shot when you shoot at Grounds for Sculpture is along this tree-lined path. It was early April, so the trees were bare, but it still made for such a gorgeous shot.
Gotta love more bamboo and my all-time favorite tree at Grounds for Sculpture- I'm not a tree expert by any means, but I love a good weeping tree- makes for gorgeous backdrops for wedding and engagement photographs.
Like any photographer, I shrieked when I saw a gorgeous cherry blossom- and that engagement ring... great job, Joe!
This was shot on the grounds of Rat's Restaurant- the amazing restaurant at Grounds for Sculpture in New Jersey.
We ended the session how any good session ends- with a peacock in the background.
Windrift Hotel, Avalon, New Jersey Wedding: Brian and Brittany
When I first met Brittany and Brian on Skype, I immediately knew I really (really) wanted to document their wedding! They described their engagement- how Brian proposed to her on the three year anniversary of the date they met. That while they were deciding to spend their life together, they played Of Monsters and Men, and that they wanted to get married in a place that met so much to both of them throughout their lives- Avalon.
Brittany and Brian decided to start this new chapter of their life at the Windrift Hotel in Avalon, NJ. From the getting ready, to the ceremony, and the awesome party that followed- everything would take place there. It was a windy day, but there was sun (and lots of it) and Brian and Brittany were ready for their First Look on the beach, followed by their bridal party shots right on the beach as well. A heartfelt ceremony sealed their new beginning, followed by an amazing party in their honor. Enjoy all the gorgeousness of this light, beachy and fun aquamarine and tangerine wedding that Brittany and Brian worked so hard on!
