Mallard Island Yacht Club Wedding, Long Beach Island, NJ: Marc and Jen
On a sunny Saturday during Memorial Weekend, Jen and Marc headed to Long Beach Island- not to sit by the beach, but to get MARRIED... on their own private island. When I arrived at Mallard Island, Jen and her bridesmaids were having their hair and makeup done in their private salon area. Just before Jen put on her dress, she shot a music video to "I'm So Fancy," with her bridesmaids, filmed by Florescio Films. After witnessing this- I'm pretty sure it's something that every bride should be doing while they get ready. When Jen stepped into her Peter Langner gown there was a stillness that fell over the room, as if time had stopped- she was just absolutely stunning. After tears and hugs, she hurried away to marry the love of her life, Marc. A soft breeze led to the chapel with sounds of the violin courtesy of Ceremonious Strings. Marc's reaction to seeing his bride was perfect, and just beyond him, his grandmother, who's reaction was equally adorable. During the traditional ceremony, Jen and Marc would steal a glance at each other with a smile that read "Can you believe this is really happening?" I can only imagine how long and hard they've worked on planning their perfect day, with a champagne and mint palette, there was a romantic and elegant summer vibe throughout the day. After "I do," Blue Label Band led in the celebration and the dance floor was packed- every. square. inch. Congratulations to Jen and Marc <3

Ocean City Boardwalk Engagement, Ocean City, NJ: Geoff and Danielle
On a rainy day, I constantly refreshed my weather app, hoping we wouldn't need to reschedule Geoff and Danielle's engagement session in Ocean City, New Jersey. We decided to go through with it even though rain was in the forecast. When I arrived that evening, it was raining- but just a little- the kind of rain where you're not sure whether your umbrella should be opened or closed. Geoff and Danielle said they were willing to brave the rain- so we did. It was pretty amazing because anybody who goes to Ocean City in the summer knows just how crowded it can be... well there was hardly anybody there. It was almost bizarre to see it so quiet, but it made for some amazing photos. We started on the beach just by the Music Pier in Ocean City and then made our way up to the iconic boardwalk. Geoff knows just how to make Danielle laugh and watching them interact is so adorable. They both have such an amazing sense of humor and it makes me so excited to be a part of their wedding day.
Wissahickon Trail Engagement, Philadelphia PA: Zane and Deana
It started with a conversation between Deana and me. She asked if I would be willing to shoot their engagement session in a location that involved rock climbing, something that Deana and Zane love to do. Did it sound crazy and a little challenging? Yes and Yes, and I was instantly up for it. We discussed wardrobe, hair and makeup- I advised Deana to go all out- and boy, did she. We met on a windy Sunday in May at Wissahickon Valley Trail in Fairmont Park in Philadelphia, PA. Deana showed up in a gorgeous peach gown from Nordstrom, professional makeup, gorgeous locks and HEELS. I still am in shock. I wore Toms and almost fell more times than I wish to share. Deana ROCKED her heels. (Zane was pretty cool too.) We hiked through lush foliage, fallen trees, and massive rocks. We made our way to Devil's Pool for some stunning shots just as dusk fell upon us. Deana and Zane are just so adorable together- you could tell by the way Zane helped Deana along wet, rocky paths (even though she didn't need an ounce of help) that they are just made for each other. I am beyond excited for their wedding next year in Philadelphia at the Curtis Center.
Deana and Zane climbed up, up, up to get to this gorgeous spot by Devil's Pool in the Wissahickon Creek. Did I mention there were people swimming?! Just feet from Deana and Zane were two men jumping into a small water hole from a great height- and I looked away because it looked really dangerous and it was FREEZING. Can you tell I have no inner daredevil?
Grounds for Sculpture Wedding Session, Hamilton, NJ: Joe and Jamie
Jamie and Joe's first professional wedding photograph includes the Easter Bunny... seriously (how cool!). They were married late March surrounded by close family at the Voorhees Town Center in a private ceremony. Immediately after, they got in line to take a photograph with the Easter Bunny, wedding dress and all. Jamie and Joe decided that they would like to celebrate their marriage with a wedding session at Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, New Jersey. If you've never been there, I would highly recommend a day trip- it's so completely peaceful and a great mixture of art and nature. We had such an amazing time in our own private golf cart complete with a tour guide! Jamie and Joe are such a fun, down-to-Earth couple and crazy about each other. A couple of weeks after our session, it was so much fun sitting with them in-person to reveal their wedding photographs. It was so sweet to hear Joe compliment Jamie on how beautiful she is, and to hear her compliment how great his hair... I mean, how great HE looked too! Congrats Jamie and Joe!
This was shot on the grounds of Rat's Restaurant- the amazing restaurant at Grounds for Sculpture in New Jersey.
Windrift Hotel, Avalon, New Jersey Wedding: Brian and Brittany
When I first met Brittany and Brian on Skype, I immediately knew I really (really) wanted to document their wedding! They described their engagement- how Brian proposed to her on the three year anniversary of the date they met. That while they were deciding to spend their life together, they played Of Monsters and Men, and that they wanted to get married in a place that met so much to both of them throughout their lives- Avalon.
Brittany and Brian decided to start this new chapter of their life at the Windrift Hotel in Avalon, NJ. From the getting ready, to the ceremony, and the awesome party that followed- everything would take place there. It was a windy day, but there was sun (and lots of it) and Brian and Brittany were ready for their First Look on the beach, followed by their bridal party shots right on the beach as well. A heartfelt ceremony sealed their new beginning, followed by an amazing party in their honor. Enjoy all the gorgeousness of this light, beachy and fun aquamarine and tangerine wedding that Brittany and Brian worked so hard on!

The Hotel ML Wedding, Mount Laurel, NJ: Steve and Christy
I was so happy to welcome the start of wedding season with Steve and Christy at the Hotel ML in Mount Laurel, New Jersey.
Here's a few thoughts about their wedding:
1- Christy's new last name will be "Fox," and I love how they incorporated it on their wedding day!
2- Christy's family has a tradition of making chocolate chip cookies every day of the week. Rumor has it, that she brought some cookies to her and Steve's first date and this MAY be one of the many reasons they are married today. She even made some to share with her bridal party (and photographers!!) for her wedding day. Can I just comment and say- best tradition ever?!
3- There were so many GENUINE smiles all day long! Not just the bride and the groom, but they had the happiest parents and the most easy-going bridal party. The whole gang was up for anything and everything to help celebrate.
4- I hear there quite a few doctors in attendance which I'm sure made all of their guests feel safe to drop the hottest dance moves they had on the dance floor. All. Night. Long.

Columbus, NJ Engagement: Mike + Emily
As wedding season approaches, and my maternity leave comes to an end, I'm getting pumped up about getting back out and shooting. Although Spring is officially here, I just had to share this dreamy Fall engagement session with Emily and Mike. I have to give the future groom all of the credit for finding this awesome location with the colorful foliage that all engaged couples dream of for their photos :) I am beyond excited to capture their big day in July!
