Spruce Street Harbor Park, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Engagement: Parker and Jaclyn
On a Sunday evening in July, I met with Parker and Jaclyn in Philadelphia. The plan was to shoot in some of the most meaningful places to them including Penn's Landing and Downey's (where they had their first date). The city was bustling with visitors, delicious-smelling food in the air, and gorgeous colored lights as we stumbled upon Spruce Street Harbor. We found gorgeous flowers, hugely colorful ships and (the best) a mural of Mario (and Luigi) near a small arcade. Parker and Jaclyn stopped at a pop-up beer garden for a glass of their favorite brew as we started our way back towards Penn's Landing. I love the way that Parker makes Jaclyn laugh- I'm sure he's become quite the expert in this when they first started began dating in their long-distance relationship. As clouds rolled in, Jaclyn reminded me that she would definitely be okay with a few shots in the rain, and that it was actually encouraged! We managed to get a couple of shots between the rain drops before the thunder began. I'm so excited to have photographed their engagement! I love to get to know my couples so that on their wedding day, I'm not just a stranger, but a friend, ready to document their day. Their day is coming up really soon- just under two months!
Manayunk Engagement: Paula and Frank
When I pulled up to Paula and Frank's home in Manayunk, I immediately saw a field of sunflowers- I felt like a hit the jackpot! I knew we would definitely be venturing out to the sea of golden goodness during our session. Paula and Frank are a power couple- both engineers, engaged, living in the cutest and hippest town of Manayunk and both so incredibly caring- their future is bright together. We walked downtown to some of their favorite spots, along the water, sunflowers, and bridges to document their engagement. I'm so very excited for their July wedding at Water Works in Philadelphia.
Fox Hill Farm Wedding, Honesdale, Pennsylvania: Jamie and Marissa
Early on a Saturday morning, with our families in tow, we left for Honesdale, Pennsylvania to photograph Marissa and Jamie's wedding. The wedding was at the gorgeous Fox Hill Farm, where every detail has been thought out, not to mention the flowers everywhere and the mountain view. Jamie and Marissa decided on a First Look so we could capture their family portraits before their ceremony. JUST as the First Look was wrapping up, the skies opened up and it downpoured. These brides were so calm about it! We ran for cover, grabbed umbrellas and kept shooting! The rain continued for a while, so we found a cozy greenhouse for more photos of the brides, and finally, the skies cleared in time for the ceremony. Their ceremony took place just feet from a lake, overlooking the barn/reception area. Towards the end of the ceremony, Jamie surprised Marissa by singing her a song, and had even passed out the lyrics for everyone participating in the ceremony to join along. It was such a sweet touch! On the way to the reception, we snuck into a fenced off area where the cows are kept. (How cool is that?) We were at the highest point of the farm, and from there we had gorgeous sunset colors with a touch of fog. The reception started off with heart-felt speeches and continued with dancing in the barn. The string lights and barn decor was simply amazing. Congratulations Mrs. and Mrs. Place!

Stockton Seaview Hotel and Golf Club Wedding, Galloway, New Jersey: KC and Meredith
Meredith and KC are pretty much my dream clients... not only are they buying me peanut M&M's every time they see me (this is amazing) but they are so genuinely sweet! Meredith and KC both completely trusted me with every detail when it came to their photos and I think any photographer will agree- this is the best possible thing for creativity! They were just so much fun to be around, there's lots of joking going on, but when things get serious (like the ceremony), there are tears and there's nothing like someone showing their genuine emotions. As I edited their wedding, there were SO many emotions and Meredith's face showed each one! Clearly, I can't stop gushing about them. Their love is so sweet and I have no doubt that in 10, 20, or even 50 years, they will still be just as crazy about each other as they were on their wedding day. Very best wishes to you, Mr. and Mrs. Koseoglu!

Batsto Village, Hammonton, NJ Engagement: John and Kelly
John and Kelly met while they were both working at Wegmans- and just like my favorite store, their love is wholesome, exciting, and keeps you coming back for more! ...Okay, so I'm seriously in love with Wegmans, but we'll save that excitement for another day. We headed to Batsto Village in Hammonton, New Jersey for John and Kelly's engagement session. Not only was the weather perfect, but there also happened to be a bagpipe player (not pictured) just about the entire time. We joked that John hired him just for their engagement session. John and Kelly are just as adorable as they photograph and I cannot wait until their wedding day next October!
Unionville Vineyards Wedding, Ringoes, New Jersey: Lindsay and John
It was late in September and it was a hot one when Lindsay and John tied the knot at the gorgeous Unionville Vineyards in Ringoes, New Jersey. They both got ready in the farmhouse alongside their best man, John's brother, and matron of honor, Lindsay's best friend. Lindsay's getting ready involved lots of pale pink and rose gold, which seemed fitting in farmhouse at Unionville Vineyards. The bridal suite is pale pink and absolutely stunning. Lindsay and John opted not to see each other before the ceremony but they shared a special moment as they held hands while standing on opposite sides of a door- talk about anticipation! The ceremony was just beside the farmhouse and officiated by Lindsay's Godfather. It was during that time I learned that Lindsay and John had known each other for a while but hit it off while at ShopRite one day and the rest is history. After the ceremony we went into the vineyards for portraits of the new Mr. and Mrs. Reilly before they joined their reception underneath of a tent. As the night went on, the party headed indoors in the Winery Building. What an absolutely beautiful day! Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Reilly!

The Flanders Hotel Wedding, Ocean City, NJ: Dorian and Samantha
Dorian was living in Arkansas, Samantha in New Jersey. While browsing through fitness hashtags on Instagram, Samantha came across a photo of a man in a Phillies hat, leading her to believe he was local... little did she know the man she would fall in love with was many miles away. They would begin a long distance relationship with countless phone calls, plane tickets and lots of planning to be with each other as often as possible. Finally, their long distance relationship became much easier when Dorian moved to New Jersey. They planned a gorgeous wedding at The Flanders Hotel in Ocean City, New Jersey. The day started with thunderstorms but the weather cleared and I was SO glad so we could get some portraits of Mr. and Mrs. Terry on the beach and boardwalk. It's been such a joy planning with Samantha, when I left the night of the wedding I told her I was going to miss her, and then she reminded me we live five minutes from each other. It was an honor to witness two families coming together and celebrating such an amazing couple starting their lives together. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Terry! This is just the beginning of an amazing chapter!
